Emily Drain begins her first season as an assistant coach with the Owens softball program. A 2000 graduate of Genoa High School, she earned her associates degree from Owens in 2002. She was a member of the very successful softball program at Owens from 2001-02, when the team won consecutive OCCAC championships. She was also a two-time First Team All-OCCAC and All-Region XII Tournament team selection. Named First Team All-Region XII, Drain holds the school record for strikeouts with 135 in a season. A resident of Toledo, Drain is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Toledo.
