Prior to Owens: Haubert begins her first season at Owens after transferring from the University of Findlay, where she hit .243 with 20 runs scored, 15 RBIs, 17 walks and a .371 OBP as a freshman in 103 at-bats. She hit .409 as a four-year starter at Gibsonburg High School under the tutelage of Kyle Leatherman. She was a two-sport athlete at Gibsonburg in cross country and softball. In her softball career, Haubert earned First Team All-Suburban Lakes League, Second Team All-District, Second Team All-Suburban Lakes League, and Honorable Mention All-District honors. She also won the team's offensive award her freshman and sophomore years. As a member of the cross-country team, she was a state qualifier, Second Team All-SLL, Second Team All-District and Honorable Mention All-District. In addition, she won the team's coaches award two straight years and led her team to a 10th place finish at the state tournament. Academically, Haubert was a member of the National Honor Society and gym student of the year. In addition, she earned high honor roll and academic All-SLL all four years. She lists her greatest personal sports thrill as hitting a home run at the Queen of Diamonds Showcase camp, which earned her game MVP honors.

Personal: Alaina is the daughter of Kevin and Dee Haubert. She is a pre-nursing transfer major at Owens.
