Prior to Owens: Hollister was a three-sport athlete (softball, basketball and volleyball) at Airport High School. She was named Most Improved in basketball, while receiving the Coaches Award and First Team All-Huron League honors in volleyball. Hollister was a three-time First Team All-Huron League and All-District player in softball, while earning First Team All-Region her senior season for coach John Warren. She was also an Academic All-Huron League selection. She lists her greatest personal sports thrill as going to the state quarterfinals her junior year in softball.

Personal: Michelle is the daughter of Andrew and Kay Hollister. Her sister, Kristin, played softball at Macomb Community College and Ferris State University. She is a pre-physical therapy transfer major at Owens.
