Prior to Owens: Shock is a transfer student from Siena Heights University who will battle for playing time at catcher. In her one season at Siena Heights (2007-08), Shock hit. 198, played in 43 games (40 starts), had 106 at-bats, 12 runs scored, 21 hits, three doubles, one triple, two home runs, 16 RBIs, 32 total bases, a .302 slugging percentage, eight walks, 39 strikeouts, a .254 on-base percentage, four stolen bases and a .965 fielding percentage. She lists her greatest personal sports thrill as hitting her first over the fence home run at Siena Heights last season. Shock won the Golden Glove Award as a senior at Northview HS, while also earning honor roll status. She played for coach Rick Schneider.

Personal: Kristen is the daughter of Jim and Debbie Shock. She is a pre-medical imaging transfer/sonography major at Owens.
