Toledo, Ohio---Sabina Watson, an outfielder from Bradford High School in Starke, Fla., has signed with the Owens Community College softball program.
Watson was a four-year varsity starter for the Tornadoes, where she primarily played left field for head coach Daniel Davis. She is from the same high school as an earlier signee, Lindsey Wiggins.
"We're really happy to bring in a player with the talent of Sabina to help our outfield depth," said Owens Community College head softball coach Marcus Smith. "She will be a great addition defensively to our outfield, as well as give us another big bat in our lineup. Academically, she will help us continue our tradition of producing great kids in the classroom, as well."
Academically, Watson graduated with honors.
The Starke, Fla. native will team with Wiggins to become the first players from the state of Florida to play softball at Owens.
