Matt Hilkens spent one season as a volunteer assistant women's basketball coach at Owens Community College.

Prior to coaching at Owens in 2012-13, he spent the previous two seasons with the University of Toledo women's basketball program. His duties included running camps and helping in practice.

Additionally, Hilkens currently works for the Midwest Girls Basketball Report (MGBR) and United States Junior Nationals (USJN) AAU.

Hilkens is a graduate of the University of Toledo and graduated with a bachelors of communication. Following his time at Owens, he became a graduate assistant at Siena Heights University.
