2013-14: Rutherford, who like Haley Gasser, returned to the field after missing the 2012 season with an injury. She started six games and saw action in 17 as a sophomore. She didn't tally a goal or assist, but played a key leadership role on a team that advanced to the national tournament for the first time in program history.

She tallied one assist in her two-year career.

2012-13: Rutherford never got a chance to make an impact in 2012 as she suffered a season ending injury in the preseason. She ended up redshirting and will return to help the Express defense in 2013.

2011-12: Rutherford helped to anchor the Express defense in 2011, while adding one assist.

Prior to Owens: Rutherford played soccer and basketball at Norton. As a member of the soccer and basketball teams, she was named the team's MVP her freshman and sophomore years. In soccer, she was First Team All-District her junior and senior year and Honorable Mention All-District her freshman and sophomore years. Additionally, she was named First Team All-Portage Trail Conference her senior year for co-head coaches Nate and Seth Vaill. In basketball, she was named First Team All-District her senior year. Her greatest personal sports thrill was scoring from half field her sophomore year against Crestwood during their senior night.

Personal: Kristina-Marie is the daughter of Joe and Laura Rutherford. She is a pre-nursing major at Owens.
