Toledo, Ohio---Megan Ewing, a 5-6 utility player from Norwalk High School in Norwalk, Ohio, has signed a letter of intent to play softball at Owens Community College.

Ewing is a two-time First Team All-Northern Ohio League (NOL), First Team All-District and offensive player of the year. Furthermore, she has been a team captain twice and was the recipient of the Miss Softball and team MVP awards.

"Megan has so much speed, as well as power," said Owens Community College head softball coach Marcus Smith. "In addition to that, she has a big arm, and she will compete for positions at short and centerfield. She will be a very important piece to our team next year."

Academically, Ewing is an honor roll and merit roll student. She is coached by Callie Stanley at Norwalk. In addition to softball, she also plays volleyball, where she has helped Norwalk advance to four league titles and district finals appearances. In volleyball, she was named Honorable Mention All-Ohio by the OHSVCA as a senior.

As a freshman, Ewing led Norwalk in runs (23) and RBI (22).
